The Challenge

Constantly increasing number of passenger cars, lorries and trucks entering the city's port area that has resulted from the increased mobility between Helsinki and Tallinn. 

Mini-pilot: Adaptive traffic lights 

Different adaptive traffic lights market solutions will be explored and investigated. 

 

City of Riga 

The Challenge

The Freeport of Riga acts as the backbone of the city's economy contributing to the overall prosperity of the city and its residents but the port activities cause negative impact to city's urban environment and quality of life of the residents. These are complex issues that cannot be solved only by the municipality or the residents - thus, a holistic, integrated and participative approach is needed.

The Challenge

Due to the fast growth in Turku, the city centre reaches towars the port and a long-term transformation process in and around the port has started in order to create a new residential area called Castle Town.
