One of HUPMOBILE’s partners, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, together with AstraZeneca, Scania, Södertälje Science Park and Södertälje municipality, organized Science week in Södertälje, Sweden. The event was run during 4 days in January 2020. Science week had around 5 000 visitors in 143 seminars and workshops about digitalisation, sustainability, entrepreneurship, community development and research.

HUPMOBILE project collaboration seminar on intelligent transport solutions (ITS) and logistics took place in Tartu on 13th of February 2020. The seminar gathered over 30 participants representing Estonian public and private sector actors, including municipalities, Ministry of Economical Affairs and Communications and ITS technology providers.

Partners discussing new methodology

In the HUPMOBILE project, a methodology aimed to be used to document sustainable transportation solutions is being developed. The focus is on new policies, technical solutions, or new services improving some aspects of sustainability in the transportation of goods or people. Feedback from the Follower Cities and other Baltic Sea Region is welcome!

Reducing traffic’s greenhouse gas emissions is in a significant part of Finnish climate policy at the moment. All means are needed to reduce traffic emissions. One of the tools is commuting to work with sustainable modes of travel: by walking, biking, public transport, ridesharing, various mobility services, or combining sustainable modes of transport to car trip.

The first HUPMOBILE webinar was held on 18 December 2019 as a part of the activities of WP6 at the General Assembly that took place in the premises of KTH in Södertälje, Sweden. The whole webinar was recorded and is available for everyone to rewatch!

The HUPMOBILE – Holistic Urban and Peri-Urban Mobility project was kicked off 11-12 June 2019 in Espoo during a two-day meeting in the premises of the lead partner Aalto University.
